Title

Description

  • The majority supported a [motion](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2007-02-26.64.2) introduced by Greens Senator [Christine Milne](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/senate/tasmania/christine_milne). However, motions like these don't have legal force but instead just represent the opinion of the Senate.
  • This [motion](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2007-02-26.64.2) is confusing. While it was introduced by the Greens Party, they are the only ones who seem to have voted against it. This suggests that the vote was actually on whether to reject the motion? Unfortunately, the Hansard isn't clear on this point.
  • ### Motion text
