The majority voted in favour of keeping the following items in the bill as they are:

  • items 2, 3, 6, 19 and part 3 of schedule 1;
  • items 8, 9, 18, 19, 22, 23, 45 to 47, 56 and 57 of schedule 2; and
  • items 12 to 14, 16, 40 to 42, 53, 54, 60 and 63 to 74 and section 7.08B in item 21 of schedule 2.

In parliamentary jargon, they voted that they 'stand as printed'. This vote was put after the opposition proposed that all those items be opposed.

Several of these items relate to held environmental water (HEW), which are "water access entitlements that are specifically set aside and managed for environmental purposes" (see the bills digest for more information).
