17th Nov 2023, 3:38 PM – Senate Social Security and Other Legislation Amendment (Miscellaneous Measures) Bill 2023 - Second Reading - Base rate and mutual obligation requirements
Summary
EditThe majority voted against an amendment to the usual second reading motion (which is "that the bill be read a second time" - parliamentary jargon for agreeing with the main idea of the bill). This means the amendment failed and the original second reading motion will remain unchanged.
