Title
Motions — Parliamentary Standards: Lobbyists
- Motions - Parliamentary Standards - Lobbyists
Description

Andrew McLachlan

I remind senators that after 4.30 pm on Thursday 14 September 2023 a division was called on the motion moved by Senator David Pocock relating to general business notice of motion No. 334, concerning lobbying rules. I understand it suits the convenience of the Senate for the deferred vote to be held now. The question is that the motion be agreed to.

- The majority voted against a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2023-09-14.220.2) introduced by ACT Senator [David Pocock](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/senate/act/david_pocock) (Independent), which means it failed. There was one rebellion, with Queensland Senator [Gerard Rennick](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/senate/queensland/gerard_rennick) (Liberal) voting 'Yes' against the rest of his party.
