<p class="speaker">Andrew McLachlan</p><p>I will now deal with the amendments circulated by Senator Thorpe. The question before the chair is that the amendments on sheet 1892 be agreed to.</p>-
- The majority voted against [amendments](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?gid=2023-03-30.117.1) introduced by Victorian Senator [Lidia Thorpe](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/senate/victoria/lidia_thorpe) (Independent), which means they failed. The amendments appear to have been designed to extend the reach of the Emissions reduction safeguard mechanism to onshore shale gas projects.
