Motion text
That the amendments to standing orders relating to the routine of business, formal motions and notices of motion agreed to as a temporary order on 24 June 2021 take effect as a permanent order, with the following changes:
(1) Standing order 66(5)(a), after "legislation", insert "by the Senate".
(2) Standing order 66(5)(c), after "the conduct of", insert "Senate or joint".
(3) Omit standing order 76(7A), substitute:
(7A) A general business notice of motion shall not exceed 200 words unless it is a motion for which a request for formality may be made in accordance with standing order 66(5).
