  • <p>The question is that the bills be read a third time.</p>
  • The majority voted in favour of a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2020-12-03.41.1) to read the bills for a [third time](https://peo.gov.au/understand-our-parliament/how-parliament-works/bills-and-laws/making-a-law-in-the-australian-parliament/). In other words, they voted in favour of passing the bills in the Senate.
