Main idea of the bill
This bill was first introduced by Senator David Leyonhjelm back in 2015 to ensure that the legislative assemblies of the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory are able to make laws relating to euthanasia. Currently, the relevant self-government Acts prevent this.
