<p class="speaker">Mathias Cormann</p><p>I move:</p><p class="italic">That these bills be now read a third time.</p>- The majority voted in favour of a [motion](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2016-09-14.165.1) to pass the [Excise Tariff Amendment (Tobacco) Bill 2016](http://parlinfo.aph.gov.au/parlInfo/search/display/display.w3p;query=Id:legislation/billhome/r5698) and the [Customs Tariff Amendment (Tobacco) Bill 2016](http://parlinfo.aph.gov.au/parlInfo/search/display/display.w3p;query=Id:legislation/billhome/r5705). In parliamentary jargon, they voted to read the bills for a [third time](http://www.peo.gov.au/learning/fact-sheets/making-a-law.html).
