- > *(a) notes recent cuts to jobs at the [Australian Animal Health Laboratory](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Animal_Health_Laboratory) of the [Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_Scientific_and_Industrial_Research_Organisation) (CSIRO), which conducts research into infectious diseases such as [Avian Influenza](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avian_influenza), [SARS](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SARS_coronavirus), the [Hendra virus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henipavirus#Hendra_virus) and most recently [Ebola](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebola_virus_disease); and*
