  • The majority voted in favour of a [motion](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2013-06-25.102.1) to prohibit [logging](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logging) in Australia's [World Heritage](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Heritage_Site) areas.

  • > *(a) welcomes the World Heritage listing of the extension to [Tasmania's Wilderness World Heritage area](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tasmanian_Wilderness_World_Heritage_Area) decided at the [World Heritage Committee](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Heritage_Committee) meeting of the [United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UNESCO) [UNESCO] on 24 June 2013;*
  • > *(b) supports the values of Australia's World Heritage listed areas and the provision of adequate funding to maintain their natural and cultural values; and*
  • > *(c) supports a total prohibition on logging in any World Heritage areas in Australia, now and into the future.*
