The motion was: ''That the [http://www.openaustralia.org/senate/?id=2008-06-25.99.2 resolution] of the Senate of 25 June 2008, as amended, appointing the [http://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Former_Committees/fuelenergy/index Select Committee on Fuel and Energy], be amended to omit “30 March 2010”, and substitute “30 June 2010”.''
Since the majority voted in favour of this division, it was successful.
