EditThe majority voted against an amendment introduced by Greens Senator Kerry Nettle, which means that it was rejected.
The amendment was: "(1) Clause 5, page 19 (lines 9 to 18), omit “:” and paragraphs (a) to (d) of the definition of financing of terrorism, substitute “an offence under Division 103 of the Criminal Code”."

Background to the bill
This bill was introduced with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Bill 2006.
