- The majority voted in favour of an [amendment](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debates/?id=2024-09-09.140.1) introduced by Treasurer and Rankin MP [Jim Chalmers](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/rankin/jim_chalmers) (Labor), which means it will now form part of the bill.
