Title

 • Motions Climate Change
 • Motions - Climate Change - Don't let a vote happen

Description

 •
Tony Smith

 •
The question now before the House is that the motion moved by the honourable the Leader of the Opposition be disagreed to.

 • The majority voted in favour of *disagreeing* with a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debates/?id=2021-10-26.80.2) introduced by Grayndler MP [Anthony Albanese](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/grayndler/anthony_albanese) (Labor), which means the motion failed. The motion was to suspend the usual procedural rules of parliament - known as [standing orders](https://peo.gov.au/understand-our-parliament/how-parliament-works/parliament-at-work/standing-orders/) - in order to let another vote happen.
 • ### Motion text

 • >>
 • >> *(c) the Government can't be trusted to deliver action on climate change when the Deputy Prime Minister and most of the National Party members of Cabinet don't support net zero;*
