<p class="speaker">Tony Smith</p><p>The question now is that the motion moved by the member for McMahon be disagreed to.</p> - The majority voted in favour of *disagreeing* with a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debate/?id=2021-06-15.115.1) introduced by McMahon MP [Chris Bowen](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/mcmahon/chris_bowen) (Labor), which means it failed. The motion would have stopped a particular regulation from having legal force - known as "disallowing" the regulation. Because it failed, the regulation will continue as law.
