<p>The question now is that the motion moved by the member for Rankin be disagreed to.</p>

- The majority voted in favour of *disagreeing* with a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debates/?id=2021-02-04.17.2) to suspend the usual procedural rules - known as [standing orders](https://peo.gov.au/understand-our-parliament/how-parliament-works/parliament-at-work/standing-orders/) - in order to let another vote take place. This means the other vote won't happen.

- >> *(a) today marks two years since the release of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry's final report,*

- >> *(c) two years after its final report only 27 of the royal commission's 76 recommendations have been implemented,*

- >> *(d) the government has even abandoned the very first recommendation the royal commission made to keep responsible lending laws in place,*

- >> *(e) this Prime Minister and this government have let down the victims of financial services misconduct; and*

- > *(2) calls on the Prime Minister to implement the recommendations of the royal commission.*
