<p class="speaker">Tony Smith</p><p>The question is that the motion moved by the Leader of the Opposition be agreed to.</p> - The majority voted against a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debates/?id=2020-03-03.66.2) introduced by Grayndler MP [Anthony Albanese](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/grayndler/anthony_albanese), which means it failed. The motion would have suspended the usual procedural rules to let a vote happen, something that's known as suspending the [standing orders](https://peo.gov.au/understand-our-parliament/how-parliament-works/parliament-at-work/standing-orders/).
