  • The majority voted in favour of a [motion](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/debate/?id=2015-12-02.7.1) that Labor MP [Tony Burke](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/watson/tony_burke) stop speaking. In parliamentary language, they voted "*That the member be no longer heard*", which is known as a "*closure of Member*" motion and stops the Member of Parliament (MP) from finishing their speech.
  • The motion was introduced by Liberal MP [Christopher Pyne](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/sturt/christopher_pyne).

  • Mr Burke was seconding a [motion](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/debate/?id=2015-12-02.3.3) introduced by Labor MP [Mark Dreyfus](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/isaacs/mark_dreyfus) about the Special Minister of State [Mal Brough](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/fisher/mal_brough)'s comments during Question Time yesterday which Mr Dreyfus believes "*clearly misled*" the Parliament (see the transcript of those proceedings on [OpenAustralia](http://www.openaustralia.org.au/debates/?d=2015-12-01)).
