The majority voted in favour of a [http://www.openaustralia.org/debates/?id=2006-11-02.29.1 motion] to put the question, which was moved by Liberal MP [http://publicwhip-test.openaustraliafoundation.org.au/mp.php?mpn=Tony_Abbott&mpc=Warringah&house=representatives Tony Abbott].
The question in this case was a procedural motion "That the time allotted for the remaining stages of the bill be until 1.30 pm this day", which was subsequently put.(See that division [http://publicwhip-test.openaustraliafoundation.org.au/division.php?date=2006-11-02&number=3&house=representatives here].
